Live Your Gifts, It Is Time!
The energies are shifting. The energetic and emotional logjams are breaking up. It’s time to spread your wings and fly. “But wait! It can’t be time. I’m not ready yet. I’m still frustrated with (fill in the blank). I don’t feel safe revealing who I really am.” I’ve said this over and over, and have heard others do the same. For me, anyway, it is time to reveal a new level of my work. As a part of this, we will be announcing two new blends later this year.
I’d like to share with you some of my allies in this process. Our Alumroot flower essence was made May of 2010 just down the road from us at a nature preserve. The plants are located just off of the main trail tucked a bit into the trees on a rocky outcropping. The bottles and stones were barely visible. The whole time, I was nervous someone would see me. “What if I need to try to explain what I am doing? They won’t understand! They’ll tell me I have to leave! Please don’t let anyone come by.” People did come by. Their dogs saw me, but not one person noticed me. I had trumped up a vaguely legitimate concern into fear.
The Hawthorn Tree Essence was made June 2010. After working with this essence for a year, I wrote in detail about my experience making it in the May 2011 newsletter. Briefly, I had to be extremely determined and intensely focused on working with the nature beings asking for enough sunshine to make the essence. Half of the blossoms on the tree had faded, and I was beginning to fall into anger and frustration that it might not happen. This was also the first time that the qualities of an animal spirit–Raven–became part of an essence.
The Manifest Blend was formulated in 2008 and introduced January 2009. Its name says what it’s about. I’ve worked with these essences for 4 to 6 years. They have been some of my best allies for feeling safe and being grounded enough to show my true nature, and for developing the products with my Team of Guides since then. This is why I am inspired to share them with you.
Usually I highlight essences that are key components of the blend that is on special. Alumroot and Hawthorn Tree Essences are not part of Manifest, but are strong complements to it. These 3 are on special for the month of August.

Alumroot Flower Essence
Small-flowered alumroot, also known as crevice alumroot, is a Pacific Northwest native perennial that grows 6 to 24 inches tall. It is usually found in stream-banks, rock crevices, and mossy talus slopes from low to subalpine elevations. In these areas it helps with erosion control and creates a more hospitable soil environment for other plants to grow. Alumroot has bright green leaves and grows in clumps with very small, white flowers in open clusters on slender reddish stems. Leaves and root can be used medicinally for sore gums and throat, liver issues, stomach pain, chaffing and blisters.
On the flower essence level, Alumroot Essence reassures you that it is safe this lifetime–in most parts of the world, using discernment–to show your true gifts and talents. This could include being an herbalist, midwife, spiritual healer, channeler, priestess, or performing artist. It encourages you to risk embarrassment or failure to experience the fullness of your abilities in daily life and in your spiritual process. Alumroot Essence supports you to express your outrageous, audacious, forthright self.

Hawthorn Tree Essence
Black Hawthorn ranges from southeast Alaska to central Nevada and is common in the western British Columbia, Washington and Oregon. It forms small thickets or can grow to a small (30 foot) tree. Black Hawthorn has 1-inch thorns that jut out from the scaly bark. Groups of flowers with 5 white petals bloom in May to June. Small black “apples” that are a favorite of birds, bears and other animals form in late summer. The thicket provides cover and nesting sites for birds and small mammals. The “apples” were eaten fresh or dried by indigenous peoples. The strong wood was used for digging sticks and thorns were use as pins or fish hooks. Medicines for heart issues, stomach ailments and diarrhea, and teething pain were made from Black Hawthorn.

Manifest Essence Blend
Create what you want to manifest! This flower essence blend helps you come into alignment with the highest purpose for your current process or project. It assists you to move through the following steps and stages:
- Become clear about what you want to create
- See what stands in your way
- Align your thinking, emotions and body with what you want
- Move past family lineage and societal conditioning
- Remember who you really are and why you want to engage in this process or project
