Daylight is returning and an early spring is stirring in the Pacific Northwest. Still I feel an emotional darkness trying to settle in. Globally, earthquakes in Haiti left massive destruction and heart wrenching conditions for the survivors. Nationally, Congress’s inability to pass meaningful health care reform, the election results in Massachusetts, and the Supreme Court ruling giving corporations carte blanche with election funding feels discouraging. Locally and personally, likely each of us has a current story that seems solid and insurmountable. However, this is all in alignment with the bigger picture! We are actually in a dark, deeply transformative phase, the 6th Night of Galactic Underworld of the Mayan Calendar. Carl Johan Calleman, a leading expert on the Mayan Calendar, wrote about the Galactic Underworld 6th Night that lasts from Nov 8, 2009 to Nov 2, 2010:
“In this plan for the evolution of consciousness we are now approaching the sixth night of the Galactic Wave Movement…If my understanding of the Mayan calendar is correct we will in this coming night be witnessing the most significant transformation of consciousness ever in the history of mankind. What is exciting about this is that I feel that a relatively clear picture of how a new world is going to be born is now finally becoming evident. On the other hand, what is also becoming increasingly clear is that this birth is likely to become very demanding. Remembering You Are Love
So how do we keep our hearts and minds open and attuned to what we want to create? In part, by remembering who we really are and knowing we are Love. A link to an incredibly beautiful and heart-opening YouTube came to my email from two different sources just as I was sitting down to write this newsletter. Talk about synchronicity! It is calling on us to remember who we are and why we are on Earth. Here is an excerpt:

Starflower Flower Essence
Western Starflower is a beautiful ground cover plant that often clumps around the base of trees. Elliptic-shaped leaves, usually 4 to 8, grow in a whorl around the top of the 3 to 4 inch thin stem.
