July 2022: Sharing of Solstice in Memory of Diana Pepper

We gathered in celebration of Diana on the longest day of the year. John chose this time to allow for those who couldn’t come to her service in December, and being as she passed on the longest night of the year.

John had given our girls fairy wings that he and Diana used. They were overjoyed to be given such an honor. Diana would have loved it, and I think the fairies did too.

We gathered in a circle around her resting place at the church on Lummi Island. We took turns going around the circle; each sharing a story about Diana. After we had all had a turn speaking it was even more clear how much of an impact Diana had on everyone she encountered in this lifetime!

We all sang along with a talented young lady who played two of Diana’s favorite songs on the ukulele. My Neighbor Totoro, andAwakening were the songs that Andrea Frost lead us in song with her Uke. It was beautiful, and we all have these songs imbedded into our hearts around here!

Aspen made sure to make his rounds and give his love to everyone during the memorial service.

We were then passed a bowl to chose a crystal from. This was for anyone who wished to do so to either leave there among the flowers for Diana as a blessing, or as a keepsake of Diana.

Once we all had a chance to give our love and blessings, we gathered again, and hand in hand we sang a song to Mother Earth, to ourselves, and to each other, honoring the solstice and every thing around us.

Those who were able to met up at Tree Frog Farm after gathered in the yurt and garden sharing more stories and making connections with people who love Tree Frog Farm and Diana as much as we do.

It was a beautiful evening shared, filled with so much love and honoring of a life well lived. In memory of Diana Pepper.

It was wonderful to get the opportunity to share with you all. I was able to meet with those who also were touched by Diana and her work. We hope you all will continue to be a part of Tree Frog Farm for many years to come.
