The ability to clearly communicate is important to our survival. This is how you manifest your world and wants to the Universe after all. Our needs, desires, thoughts, feelings, observations, etc. need to be communicated efficiently so we can understand, and feel understood. Learning during our infancy to communicate our needs is limited at first. We cry because it is all we know how to really do, to alert our caregivers we are in need; this is how we begin to shape the world around us. Being understood feels safe and this feeling is a gratifying one.
Being an efficient communicator takes patience and practice. It can be a frustrating struggle when trying to articulate – without the knowledge or skill to do so – what you need. Navigating through the murky waters of miscommunication is never fun, but at times it could lead to more uncertainly, and that is when keeping the lines of communication open becomes more a necessity than a preference.
There may be experiences, situations, or people that you don’t particularly see as easy to deal with. There may be a skill or other sort of ‘language’ that is foreign to you, but once you begin to pick up on the expressions/impressions and observations you learn to navigate this new territory. By experience, you are able to slowly learn what you need to in order to communicate your needs. This rings true for us throughout our lifetime, on all levels of co-existing.
