Pacific Ninebark is a deciduous shrub indigenous to the US and Canadian coastal Pacific Northwest. It grows in wet open areas and the edges of moist woods. The branches have 9 layers of shredding bark, hence the name. Small white flowers with five petals that grow in rounded clusters.
